Mission Statement

The Institute for Integrative Interruption is a bi-coastal art collective experimenting with new and old methods of interrupting the daily routine of urban populations through public art installations and interventions.

The Institute for Integrative Interruption is not interested in
efficiency, convenience, or institutions.

The Institute is, however, interested in spontaneity, romance,
absurdity, and trick endings.

The Institute seeks to try just about anything that will take
pedestrians off their predictable paths and jolt them into a new awareness of the urban landscape.

We at the Institute believe that all interruptions are not equal, but
subtly the revolution can occur while you are paying, cashing in on
an attrition of attention from its habits.
