Creativity Summit

The first-ever Youth Creativity Summit took place at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles during the spring of 2018. The summit consisted of multiple elements, from immersive workshops to engaging panels, all with the goal of connecting participants to their own creativity, no matter how it manifested. Young people, ages 14-18, engaged in a series of creative problem-solving workshops and heard from creative professionals about their career paths and goals. And, most importantly, they connected with other young people from diverse communities throughout Los Angeles.

As a lead producer on this project, Jill was responsible for the program design, partnerships, event production/coordination, and art direction. Partners on this project included Los Angeles Public Schools (LAUSD), Creativity Matters, artworxLA, LACMA, Young Producers Groups, Get Lit Words Ignite, Las Fotos Project, SPARC, SCI-Arc, and many, many more. All workshops were co-designed to engage students in hands-on activities through performance, visual arts, writing, media, and making.
