WB StoryLab

As a Senior Project Manager and Curriculum Consultant, Jill partnered with Warner Media (formerly Warner Bros.), the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), and nonprofit organization Young Storytellers to design the WB Story Lab.

StoryLab is a comic-book-inspired in-school program that aims to develop a generation of young people who value their voices and the voices of their peers. Through analyzing DC Super Heroes, sixth-grade English Language Arts students learn about the general structure of superhero stories. Students then draw connections between their own experiences and the stories of DC Super Heroes. By the end of the unit, students have learned how to tell their personal stories through the creation of autobiographical comic books, which are then presented at the Warner Media Studio Lot in California.
